But I’m not here to heap praises on OontZ Angle 3 Bluetooth speaker. Instead, I’ll be sharing an honest review, and you’ll have the final say as to whether it’s that portable speaker you so crave for. So, let’s get started, shall we?

OontZ Angle 3 Review: What makes it a must-read?

As mentioned, there are hundreds of OontZ Angle 3 reviews out there. So, what makes mine special? Well, I’m the type that gives credit where it deserves. Hence, I take pride in giving honest reviews. And with hands-on experience, I’ll be hitting the nail on the head.

Unboxing

OontZ Angle 3 comes in a pretty simple box. I’d say it’s a minimalist packaging, nothing fancy about it.

Upon opening, you get a quick-start guide, micro USB cable, and a coax cable. Then the big deal; the OontZ Angle 3 Bluetooth wireless speaker.

Except for the manual, each of the other components come in plastic bags. I’d say it’s a good measure to prevent dust buildup.

Design

Before I delve deeper, OontZ Angle 3 is available in a multitude of colors. You get it in signature Black, Blue, Orange, Red, Matte Black, and white.

I think the shape would be a good start. Well, OontZ Angle 3 adopts the shape of a triangular prism. Hence, it remains stable whichever way you place it.

Next is size and weight; two features that affect portability the most. Well, OontZ Angle 3 is 5 inches long and 2.6 inches high. So, it’s pretty compact and small enough to stuff in a large pocket. Also, it weighs only 10 ounces, adding to its portable design.

OontZ Angle 3 comes in a soft, plastic housing. But for the sides, it uses soft, rubberized material. So, you have something for impact resistance. Plus, the housing has an IPX5 rating. Well, I wouldn’t say it’s waterproof. But for water-resistant performance, it scores highly. Hence, you can take it along to the beach, poolside, or in the shower.

The bottom has a reasonable amount of protective vents. For me, that’s a thoughtful design for ventilation. Moreover, the vents protect the speaker from dust and pressure fluctuations. Still, on the bottom, you get two rubber feet for non-slid performance. It’s pretty much a feature you’d need when things start rumbling.

OontZ Angle 3 has side-mounted controls. There’s one for volume, Bluetooth, mic, pause, and play. At the back is the USB charging port and coax input. Well, that’s pretty much all for the exterior.

So, I move on to check under the hood. Inside, you get two front-facing stereo drivers and a downward-facing bass radiator. That wraps it all for the design.

Sound Quality

As mentioned, OontZ Angle 3 has two precision stereo drivers. These deliver the full spectrum of sound. Hence, it rewards you with accurate mids and clear highs.

Then there’s the passive bass radiator. It delivers rich bass in a small package. All the while, it consumes very little energy, around 10 watts. Hence, there’s zero chance it will blow up.

Well, OontZ Angle 3 has a deep bass response and excellent resonating effects. But just how loud can it get? Thanks to the acoustic power of 10 watts, it delivers a little over 100 dB max. I’d say that’s pretty impressive for a portable speaker of its size.

Connectivity

OontZ Angle 3 has two connectivity options. Let me start from the wireless mode. Well, the wireless mode uses Bluetooth 4.2 technology. You get a range of up to 100 feet unobstructed. Though it might be a bit less indoors, it’s more than sufficient.

So, how well does it pair with other Bluetooth devices? Well, OontZ Angle 3 offers wide-range compatibility. It pairs with any Bluetooth device imaginable. Hence, you have a ton of options at your disposal. You can play wirelessly from your smartphone, iPhone, tablet, or iPad.

Also, there’s an LED indicator for Bluetooth status. It blinks while searching and goes solid the instant you pair with your device.

Aside from wireless connection, OontZ Angle 3 offers a wired connection. Well, this is achievable via the coax input.

Notably, OontZ Angle 3 Bluetooth speakers don’t pair in themselves. As such, you won’t be able to play two or more OontZ Angle 3 speakers simultaneously from the same device. Nevertheless, such a drawback is far off from being a deal-breaker.

Battery

OontZ Angle 3 uses a 2200mAh battery. It takes 3-4 hours to charge fully. Well, that’s commendable if you ask me. Also, it has a red LED indicator for the charging status. It flashes red as you charge. But when full, it turns solid red.

The battery offers 14 hours of continuous playback. So, you’re pretty much getting a whole day of entertainment.

Pros

  • Among the loudest for its size
  • Crisp, distortion-free sound
  • Travel-friendly portable design
  • Fully splash-proof and water-resistant
  • Extended battery life

Cons

  • The package doesn’t include a power adapter
Conclusion

I wouldn’t say OontZ Angle 3 is the best overall at the moment. However, the sound performance, portability, and weatherproof design make it a steal. Dollar-for-dollar, it edges out other competitors, even big-name brands.

I don’t know about you, but OontZ Angle 3 is one portable speaker I’d get without so much of a second thought. It’s pretty much a beast in a small package with a price tag that’s hard to beat.
